The Tasha Mae Method blends strength training with mindfulness. Working primarily with women 30 - 80 years old, she’s here to support you through every stage of life.

Here, strength is more than just building muscle. It’s about balance, energy, and resilience — staying active and connected to your body’s wisdom. Through mindful movement, breathing, and full-body strength, you’ll feel empowered and in control.

You lead the way, listening to your body. Tasha’s here to guide you, helping you unlock your strength and feel vibrant at every step.

Tasha’s Approach

When Tasha first became a gym owner, she noticed a major gap.

Yoga, Pilates, Weightlifting, Dance, etc., all have their own separate systems for training.

As humans, we are dynamic. Our training and movement patterns should reflect that and also be dynamic.

We can learn from all modalities of exercise, bringing out the best from each one and incorporating them into a comprehensive well rounded program.

The Tasha Mae Method honors the dynamic needs all bodies have for developing strength. A method that begins from the inside ~ with breath, pelvic floor, & core ~ so you can build deeper strength and a stronger connection with your body.

Tasha’s Background

Tasha was born loving to move, but her passion for strength training began when she started lifting weights at 15 years old.

She dove into bodybuilding in high school, and quickly progressed to power lifting by grade 12. Loving all forms of movement she explored rock climbing, yoga, bellydancing, mountain biking, boxing, and anything else she could try.

Tasha has self-studied a wide array of modalities, including Somatics, Chinese Medicine, Pilates, herbal remedies, nutrition, and the nervous system.

In 2016, Tasha became a certified Vijnana Yoga instructor, a 3 year / 800 hour course. She continues to attend retreats with Orit Sen-Gupta and has since accumulated over 1500 hours of additional training in Vijnana Yoga.

In 2017, she became certified a personal trainer and a certified group fitness instructor, further solidifying her role in the fitness world.

Tasha’s commitment to expanding her knowledge led her to train in the Tensegrity Repair Series with Gioia Irwin as well as the Female Athlete Course with Anthony Lo, and recently completed a Training Females Level 1 Certification.

She’s worked closely with pelvic floor physiotherapists and other specialists to deepen her understanding of the body - knowledge she applied first hand when she successfully rehabilitated her pelvic floor from atrophy and dysfunction, as well as when she healed her own back from pain and trauma.

Tasha’s physical achievements are equally impressive. She's deadlifted 205 lbs for a 1 rep max and spent five years teaching high-intensity interval training (HIIT).

Tasha’s greatest challenge came when she faced a near-death experience from COVID-19, which affected her heart, her hormones, and her nervous system. Drawing upon the vast knowledge and practices she had accumulated, Tasha healed herself, with her heart fully recovering—a testament to the power of this dynamic method.

Today, Tasha is more than just a personal trainer; she is a beacon of strength and inspiration. She owns and operates a gym where every space is adorned with her love of plants, creating an environment that nurtures both body and spirit.

Whether she’s guiding women to overcome pelvic floor issues, teaching weightlifting or yoga, Tasha’s mission remains the same: to help women build strength, confidence, and a deep appreciation for their bodies.

Her story is one of transformation, healing, and a relentless pursuit of knowledge, all in the service of helping others do the same.
